CASH FOR YOUR BOOKS
PLEASE BRING ALL CDs, DVDs, AND SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS PURCHASED WITH YOUR TEXTBOOKS
Our policy is to buy every book that we possibly can, offering you as much as we can. We hope that the following information will explain how the process of buyback works.
DAILY TEXTBOOK BUYBACK:
Student ID is required
for all daily buyback transactions.
Currently, all books will be bought back at a wholesale value determined by national used book companies.
The daily buyback rate is considerably less than during "scheduled" buyback dates.
For the "best value" for your textbooks, please bring them in during our end-of-semester buyback.
Due to situations and conditions beyond the bookstore's control, we reserve the right to suspend the daily buyback at any time without prior notice.
Student ID is required for all daily buyback transactions
THERE ARE SEVERAL CRITICAL FACTORS IN DETERMINING HOW TO VALUE YOUR BOOKS BEING SOLD BACK:
Any book being sold back must be in good shape, with binding, covers and no missing pages. Although we accept books with highlighting and underlining, excessive markings in a book may decrease a books buyback value. No writing in study guides or workbooks.
CURRENT EDITIONS BEING USED FOR THE NEXT SESSION:
If an instructor has requested your textbook for the next session, then the value increases. Our goal is to offer you 50% of the new book price. Generally speaking, textbooks will be purchased until we reach our shelf stock limit.
OVERSTOCKS AND CURRENT EDITIONS NOT BEING USED ON CAMPUS:
If your textbook has not been requested for the next term but is a current edition, we will pay you the highest national market price through our used book wholesaler. A wholesale buyback is available during scheduled college store hours.
Publishers issue new textbook
editions quite frequently. When a new edition becomes available, the old
editions have little or no market value. While these types of books do not offer
cash value, your book is far from being obsolete. There is no such thing as a
"valueless" book; we will accept your old editions to ship to a local program.
There is no pressure the decision to keep your books or sell them is up to you.
